Job Purpose

An Aircraft Loader has a critical role in the safety and efficient ground handling. As a member of the ramp team, the Aircraft Loader will have the duty to plan, load and offload of baggage and cargo under the oversight and maintenance of utmost safety and security standards.

This job needs physical fitness, attention, and capability to work under fast-paced airport conditions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Aircraft Loaders are responsible for ensuring smooth operations on the ground. The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Physically handle baggage and cargo during daily operations.
• Ensure efficient and secure handling of cargo and baggage in compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Report any security threats or incidents during operations.
• Report safety hazards or risks to the team leader.
• Follow and adopt safe working practices to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain required levels of certification to ensure effective handling of cargo and baggage.

These duties are central to ensuring passenger satisfaction and operational safety for both RwandAir and its partner airlines.

Desired Candidate Profile

To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Minimum “A” Level certificate.
• Age: Candidates must be at least 24 years old and not older than 30 years.
• Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically fit to handle the demands of the job.
